Harlem!

Word. This passed weekend we visited upper Manhattan and found ourselves in down town Harlem! Ironically, Katie and I wore white shirts, so along with our blonde hair, we really really stood out.

The famed Apollo Theater where many a great performer has, well, performed

The House of Hoops - the Mecca of all NBA worshipers. Here and only here can you purchase designer shoes worn on the court by some of the best NBA players. I actually got to touch a pair of designer Steve Nash shoes. ecstasy

We actually managed to pull Steve's drooling face away from the D-Will shoes long enough to take a picture.

Next we made our way up to visit The Cloisters - an old castle that was imported to NY.

Harlem is commonly referred to as "Spanish-Harlem" for a good reason. It's like a mini DR. I was privilaged to find an exquisite Pan de Guayava.
