Thanksgiving / Skydiving / Christmas Tree's

Hello all. Hope you had a great turkey day. Here's some pic's and video of what we've been up to:

For thanksgiving break we spent some time flying in the air at the Ogden iFly indoor skydiving complex. It was unreal!!

Here's the crew getting suited up for take-off.

Here I am in flight

Here's some video of me flying

And better yet, here is our trainer.

Here's the crew after take-off. Sadly, Katie couldn't fly, but we plan on returning in February once Junior is born.

Also, we went to the Bodies exhibit. Cool stuff, if you're into gross anatomy.

We also made some good pies.

On Thanksgiving morning we played some hard-core football. I have never seen Jeff or Derek play football, and they rocked the party. Sad to say, our team lost... Better luck next year.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went with Katie's family and cut down our Christmas trees.

This little "ornament" was found in Katie's parents tree. Frozen solid.

Here is Patch family tree.

And us finally singing a little "Bah hoo doris" music with the tree.

Here is our family tree.

Hope you all are having a great December. See you soon!

Halloween & Stuff

Hello everyone. Just a few updates in this game we call life.

A couple of weeks ago I visited San Francisco for the first time. I went with the Investment Banking Club; we met some great firms. Fun experience.

Deven & Autumn had their Halloween party and the theme this year was 'Disney'. Here's Derek and Nikki as the the Hunchback & Esmerelda.

AFter scouring the internet for hours, we deduced that the only pregnant Disney couple comes from The Emperor's New Groove - Pacha and Chicha. The DI does wonders.

Zach's costume was the best - Nemo. He even included the 'lucky fin'.

We also went to a Dinner Murder Mystery: 70's style.

Fun Stuff.

Lauren (at the end of the table) was a hippie "blinded by society." Halloween was fun. I especially enjoyed watching the scariest movie I've ever seen - Anne of Green Gables. Till next time!

Tristan's Soccer / Homecoming / Triathlon

Hello Everyone! It's been about 3 weeks since we've posted - so it's time for an update. Here's what's been going on...

Tristan had his first soccer season over the past month. He rocked! The next Pele?

Even Jaden got in on the action with his older bro.

Next we enjoyed BYU's homecoming week. On Friday night we reenacted our first date and went to the Homecoming Spectacular. It was awesome! The best is when Men's Chorus performed and Sis. Hall got thrown in air.

The next morning we woke up early and got in a long line for...

Cougar Blue Pancakes!!!

While eating our collegiate meal, we watched the Parade

Later that day, I went to the game with Dave Strobhen. Needless to say, we won. Not that that means a lot, becuase we now have a loss...

Yesterday (Sat. 10/19) after much trash-talk and betting, we participated in
the BYU Triathlon.

We all had to get marked on our arms and legs. It was hard core.

It was kinda cold.

Oh yeah, Greg and Janene participated too.

Yes, you are correct - 1) Katie's biceps are bigger than mine & 2) she is 5 months pregnant

Here's Russ & Lauren after they'd finished.

And the family winner is ... Annie Goaslind. I had her in the swimming and biking, but she was leagues ahead when it came to the running. Good work Annie.

Greg enduring...

Katie (and future son) enduring...

And Janene holding up the caboose
It was super fun! We all had a blast and came out uninjured. Thanks to our sponsors: Lakeview Radiology, Jeff's Mission Bike, and Abby.

Mayan Adventure

Hello everyone,

So with school starting, we've pretty much been doing eat, sleep, library, study, and the occasional late night movie. But, last weekend we went out to eat with the Padres and Kelby & Michelle. All of you from Utah will laugh, but we went to the Mayan Adventure. It was awesome...and the food wasn't really that bad.

For those of you who have never heard of the place, the coolest part is that they have a diving show where these "tropical" looking people jump off olympic meter height rocks. It was totally fun.

Oh - By the Way - WE'RE HAVING A BOY!!! Looks like it's gonna be a Jr. So bring on the baby blue clothes.

Back to School!

Here are some videos that will take the pain away from those late night sessions at the library cramming.

This first one is a synopsis of why education is very important, for about five years...

This video highlights the importance of gaining an education about pricing models...

Lastly, don't drop out and be dumb like this guy...

Hope you enjoyed them!

Grassroots: Our Trip to Mesa

Hi all. This past weekend we drove down to Mesa to feel the wonderful warmth of friends and 109 weather. Lets start with the drive down.

This was on a gas pump.

Here's the good ol' "Dolphin House." That's the same hoop we put up!

To educate Katie in the Traditions of Mesa, we went to the MHS Traditions Assembly. It brought back some great memories. Here's the football team doing the Haka

We attended the Mesa Temple too. The cactus garden was beautiful

Afterwards we went with Jake to Mangos. Apparently, he likes it.

Later that night, we went to a D-Backs game. Sadly they lost, but since Randy Johnson threw 13 strike outs, we got a coupon for a free thirstbuster!

After the game, they opened the roof and shot off fireworks. Not quite the Beijing Opening or Closing ceremonies, but it was still pretty good

The next morning we went to the Lake with the Bowles and Richardsons.

There is your classic Jake.

Here is Brad getting some sick air.

Katie blew us all away when she got up on her FIRST time! Impressive!

This was also the First time she totally ate it.

The fish at work

Katie riding the surf skate. hard core.

Ridin

Here is some footage of Brad clearing the wake.

Here's some footage of me on a little jump. "Pride goeth before the fall"

Later that night we hung out with tons of other friends at Alisse and Scott Baldwin's house. Thanks guys for allowing us to raid your home!

Oh yeah, can't forget an essential stop to Jack in the Box.

We had such a fun time and hope to see everyone soon enough again. Rock the Mesa!
