Visit from Becky & Pitt

We had a pleasant visit from Becky & Pitt and it is very much blogworthy. They are such a fun couple and so we had a blast visiting NY together.

Our first stop was at the St. Paul's Cathedral which is right across from where the twin towers used to be.

On the inside the had lots of tributes to those that lost their lives and gave service

Nice flowers outside

Pitt and I walking amidst the great and mighty towers

We happened to be in NY during a huge Romanian Festival. Some of us kind of got into the music...

We took the Statton Island Ferry in front of the Statue of Liberty. Oh those two

Here is me and my significant other during our ferry ride.

Behold the ferry

Aqui estoy comiendo una arepa venezolana. Es la comida preferida de los venezolanos. Estuvo bien rica y tengo ganas de volver a comer mas!!

Nice little park

Eh, Venni, fogetaboutit. Here's us in Little Italy

Next we made our way to Chinatown. Here was some live fish that were still flopping.

We also checked out the Manhattan Buddhist Temple

We ended up having dinner at the ESPN zone and Becky and I got carried away on the horse racing video game.

Wicked on Broadway!!!

We finally got to see Wicked on Broadway and we LOVED IT!!! Many thanks to Russ & Lauren for giving us a major hook up. You guys rock

Patch's Visit to NY

Over the last week, Katie's parents came out to visit us in New Jersey and New York. Let's go there...

Here are the Patch's mimicking a little statue in front of the Summit Transit Authority

On Friday night we went to the Mets game at Shea Staduim, which would be there last season until they move to...CITI Stadium! (represent)

Us appearing to be happy while the Mets got rocked by the Braves.

Looking happy amidst the wild Mets fans.

Talk about a change of pace! The next day we went into NY and saw all of the festivities for the NFL Draft weekend at Radiocity Music Hall. I never did care too much for the Cardinals...
Salute to Chavez and the embassy

Sporting the latest fads from the NBA store.

Katie and I broke off and went to the Frick Collection - an old home turned into a museum.

There's one of great pieces of art. Such stunning subtle features that contrast the riveting stone behind her.

Walking through Central Park and we noticed a Merry-Go-Round. Speaking of "Merry"s...

That night we all went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway!

Us inside the theater. It was an awesome show. Even if you've seen the movie and weren't too fond of it, the show will blow you away.

Too keep our manliness up, afterwards we went to the ESPN Zone to watch the Jazz beat the Rockets to go up 3-1. (I just shed a tear for the Suns. May they rest in peace)

So even when you go to the restroom, they have you covered with a a TV. ESPN, you rule

Geocaching!

On Saturday we were graced with the Visit of Russell and Lauren. We sporadically decided to go Geocaching!! If you don't know what it is, I'll explain it as we go through today's post...

At home, I got the coordinated to a cache and we set out to find it. Here is Annie using the GPS to get closer to the cache.

After deducing that it must be within a general 2o ft. radius, Russell searches up the tree and...

We found the cache! It was an old ammo box full of odd little goodies, aka, caches.

Next we set out to find another. In pursuit, we saw this funny dog driving a car next to us at Wendy's. We got some Frosty's and moved on.

The coordinates to the next cache led us to the steps of a church.

It had an interesting post of an upcoming sermon.

At the church we had to use some dates found on this statue as part of a latter coordinate.

We then had to find dates off of a grave in a near by cemetery.

We found the grave and wrote down some numbers from the dates found on the stone.

That took us to a park, where Katie Lauren and Annie began to go off and do girl things.

More girl things

More girl things

And more things, while in the meantime...

Russell found the cache!!! It was a great find after lots of walking through prickly bushes and getting our fashionable jeans dirty.

Citi NYSE Visit

Today we went on a little Intern Fieldtrip to the New York Stock Exchange. I learned quite a lot about the profession of being a trader and broker.

Marvelous

Glorious

That is one very impressive bull.

Here's us right above the trading floor. FYI, the man in the picture is the infamous Gary Prochko. He's a co-worker of mine that is very very funny.

The wild floor

Wall street.

Sad to say I look very happy, but I didn't leave the building any richer. Bummer

NYC Temple / Chinatown / Blue Man Group

This past weekend we started our NYC trip with a temple trip. The Manhattan temple is gorgeous. Once inside, you can't hear a thing from the outside world.

This is "us" in front of the temple. Our pictures turned out really bad.

In front of a Chinese Barbeque we ate at.

I ended up eating Duck and Chicken. Yum.

Katie enjoyed spending quality time with her 2 favorite things: Asians and Me.

Since we already visited the LDS temple, we decided to take a walk by the Manhattan Buddhist temple as well.

Asian Homer getting frisky...

Good times

Lastly, we saw the Blue Man Group (thanks Russ & Lauren). It was a very funny and creative show. It reminded me of Bryan, Shaun, and Steve...
