Summer Lovin' 2011

Hi all! Welcome to summer fun on the East Coast. Boston is hot and humid, but there are lots of ways to take advantage of the area. This is reverse chronological again, but sit back and enjoy...

Went into the city for July 4th. Found an open field with fountains.

Chris loved it, to say the least.

The hot boys on the red-hot 4th. (thanks for the flag shirts grandma)

Here we are listening to a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Old State House, the same location where it was first read 235 years ago - too cool!

Here we are at Wingaersheek Beach, about an hour north of our home. Not bad for an East Coast beach! Both Chris & Jack loved it!

Out on the town enjoying the Extreme Sailing event. Had to try and squeeze in a quick family pic; the weather was soooo nice.

Christopher's "bird-feeder" to keep "jumpy squirrels" out (see Curious George if you have any questions).

Chris-man at the zoo.

Drove up near Cape Neddick, Maine for Father's Day. Met up with Scott & Cat Smith, our good friends from BYU. Roasted some delicious shmoes and hot dogs.

Happy Birthday Katie!!! She made some amazing "Better than [anything]" cake.

More pics at the cemetery. Beginning to feel like necrophiliacs because we post so many pictures of this place. When you come to visit, you'll understand.

Ladies and Gentlemen...welcome to the SCOOPERBOWL 2011!!! Probably one of the coolest events ever. Pay a $7 fee at the door (goes to charity) and then you get to eat all the ice cream you could possibly handle. Chris and dad LOVED it. Perfect for a hot, sunny day.

Made it out to Carson Beach on Memorial day.

Belmont Memorial Day parade.

And there you have it! Summer's been good so far, minus the hot apartment without A/C. Don't worry, we're working on it. Till next post!

AHHH...you know Scott and Cat! I LOVE THEM!!! Cat is one of my favorite people in the whole world and an old roommate, just like Katie. So of course you know each other. I'm so jealous I wasn't there with you guys too! :o)Looks like so much fun!

And jealous of being there for the reading of the Declaration of Independence. I love history stuff!
